At New Life, we believe that:
- God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as the One and Only means by which a person can be saved [forgiven of sins and reconciled to a loving Father God].
- Jesus Christ demonstrated His love and compassion toward fallen man by dying on the cross to pay the price for man’s sin.
- This same Jesus Christ died and was buried and on the third day He arose from the dead with great power and is seated on the right hand of God the Father.
- Salvation comes to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ for salvation.
- Those who believe in Jesus Christ, are transformed into a new life, and that new life is seen by those who come in contact with them.
- The Holy Spirit is given to help every believer to live a life that is holy and above reproach.
- Every believer has a responsibility to love and serve others, and to share this new life in Christ Jesus.
- This same Jesus Christ who loves us… loves you!
- If you will ask Jesus Christ to forgive you and give you a new life free from the past and the fear of death, He will give you New Life too!

The following are the core beliefs of New Life based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins of all people on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a subsequent gift/experience to salvation that empowers the believer and is available to all who ask for it. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives the spiritual gifts: word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, various kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues to believers since the day of Pentecost and continuing until our Lord’s return.

The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any error.

Humanity
We believe every person matters to God. All people were created in the image of God to have relationship with him, but became separated from God through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

The Church
The church is composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, are united together in faith and fellowship. The church is expressed in many unique and diverse ways through local congregations as it fulfills its five primary purposes: to worship God; to experience community with each other; to engage in the process of spiritual growth; to equip each other for service; and to reach the world through mission.
